Terms & Conditions
Pilates
All participants are encouraged to listen to their own body and to exercise within their own limitations.
Should you experience any pain or discomfort during any particular movement, it is your responsibility to inform the teacher immediately and to heed any advice provided.
All class participants are requested to complete a health screening questionnaire at the time of booking. Failure to complete this and/or failure to disclose any health condition prior to attending may result in you not being able to participate in the class. The cost of the class would not be refunded.
All participants are responsible for informing the teacher of any new injuries/health concerns which may impact upon their ability to exercise at the earliest opportunity.
Truly aligned accepts no responsibility for any injury or worsening of any pre existing condition that may occur during a Pilates class. All participants exercise at their own risk.
PAYG Clients
Payment in full is required at the time of booking via this website.
At least 24 hours notice is required in order for a cancellation to be refunded.
Cancellations of less than 24 hours notice will not be refunded.
Should a class be cancelled by the teacher a full refund will be issued. Refunds can take 5-10 days to show in your account.
Pilates subscriptions
Subscriptions renew every four weeks and cover one class per week at the chosen location and chosen time for the four weeks after the purchase.
Subscriptions can be cancelled at any point up until the point of renewal. Once the subscription has renewed for the following 4 weeks this cannot be refunded.
If you are unable to attend your class one week, the cost of this class cannot be refunded.
Subscriptions are for one class at one time at one venue only, they are not transferable to alternative classes.
However, should you be unable to attend your regular class and there is space available in an alternative class within the same week, a transfer may be permitted only if discussed and agreed in advance.
Classes paid for via subscription cannot be gifted to another person should the regular participant be unable to attend.
Should a class be cancelled by the teacher the cost of this class (£10) would be refunded. Refunds can take 5-10 days to show in your account.
Massages
Massages must be paid for in full at the time of booking via this website.
All massage bookings include a £10 none refundable deposit.
24 hours notice of cancellation is required for a refund (less the £10 none refundable deposit).
Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will not be refunded.
Other Conditions
Definition of sex/female only spaces:
Truly Aligned Pilates and Massage specialises in women’s health and as such provides female only Pilates classes and massage services to women only. Truly Aligned defines a woman as a person who is biologically female. This definition and subsequent provision of female only spaces is in accordance with The Equality Act 2010 and the Supreme Court ruling 2025 regarding the definition of sex and the provision of single sex spaces. Truly Aligned therefore reserves the right to refuse service to a person who is biologically male.
Lone working:
As a massage therapist and Pilates instructor working alone it is essential that I take steps to ensure my safety. As such, I share the name, DoB and address of any massage/1:1 Pilates clients I am seeing on a given day with my partner, along with the time and location of each appointment. This enables me to check in and out of each appointment and for him to take appropriate steps should I not contact him. This information will be shared securely via WhatsApp and deleted at the end of each day. In booking a massage/private Pilates session you agree to your information being shared in this way.
Confidentiality Statement:
All information provided to Truly Aligned will be treated in the strictest confidence. This includes any information you may share during a Pilates or massage appointment. However, there are certain exceptions to this including if I were to become concerned that you or someone else may be at risk of significant harm. Should this situation arise, as a Registered Mental Health Nurse I am duty bound to share this information with relevant parties. This may include (but is not limited to) your GP, Social Care or the Police. Any such disclosures would always be discussed with you before they are made, unless it is felt that doing so may increase the risk to yourself or any other person.
